the Vintage Cassette project
-vc.jpg)
For more then 2 years I've been working on the new Naks.com website in the free moments I can find. I've created a MySQL database that would replace the csv file and created a CMS that would allow me to edit everything on the website, this would replace the 3 perl scripts that run Naks.com for almost 10 years now....
Because this project allowed me to add ANY number of products from any brand I registered vintagecassette.com a few years ago. The Naks.com project stalled a bit because of the high quality I demanded and to get the new Naks.com MkII engine live I decided to make the VintageCassette site using this new engine... Well It's live now for more then a month and it's doing fine. Most of the work to be done is to get the content complete, with over 1700 products this is quite a task! Next up is the Ebay integration I've been working on for some time, this would list Ebay items next to each product, so the site would become some kind of online Shop for these Vintage Products! Come and have a look: http://www.vintagecassette.com
UPC are RETARDS
.jpg)
Recently I had the pleasure to meet the real UPC. After 4 years of problemless service, i even recommended them to friends, they disconnected all my services because of an (automatic) payment that went wrong while i was on a holiday....Take the 'disconnection' time of 14 days and you have a problem for one week! I now know better, they are ASSHOLES! My problem is that I have all their services, Chello / UPC Digital / Telephone and TV. Today they proved their RETARDness again by sending a reminder for an unpaid bill (I pay to them by automatic payment) !!! Try calling... Impossible!! So i spammed their helpdesk. I assume the cause is their NEW 'online' view-your-bill-system that makes you have to approve your bill manually each time or something... this I don't wish to be busy with. They never communicated this to me and propably also stopped sending the totals for each months bill after this new system became active, this explains also why automatic payments were stopped and also why the support by phone is unreachable.... RETARDS!
Christina's Song For You
.jpg)
Herbie Hancock's latest cd "Possibilities" contains many collaborations of him with famous artists performing famous songs. While listening the cd for the first time one performance stood out above all of them for me, Christina Aguilera performing Leon Russell's "A Song For You." While @ work performing myself this song gives me the right mood to write some nice Java code... Herbie plays his piano like I like from George Duke and Christina sings all her frustrations out to you!
